Trulyvintage
My custom enclosed aluminum car hauler trailer has a floating aluminum floor that interlocks and is welded to the aluminum frame at the rear. I always try to load and unload on a level paved surface - that is not possible for every transport. Sunday I loaded out in the hills of Grass Valley, California. As I secured the ratcheting strap to the recessed aluminum etrac the etrac began pulling up from the aluminum floor I have - what I call - “ the best bad luck “. Over the years I have developed a network of friends and Jim in Visalia, California connected me with Steve in Visalia so today my trailer floor and etrac were heli arc welded and a broken door hinge repaired by Steve at his shop. I couldn’t go down the road without the support of friends and their friends. Back on the road in the morning …. Jim 3
Trulyvintage
Once back in the area where my primary welder lives … I stopped by Sharon Center Welding in Sharon Center, Iowa and we inspected the entire trailer floor … The great thing about having a welder who primarily serves the farming community - he is experienced in all types of metal fabrication and repair. @
