philipj
Would anyone be able to decode the body tag as to what was the original color of this vehicle as well as the interior finish? Thank you for your help... Edited February 27, 2023 by philipj (see edit history)
philipj
According to this chart it is called Glynden Green, which looks like an olive green... Not to be confused with Glyndon Green for Pontiac in 1937... https://paintref.com/cgi-bin/colorcodedisplay.cgi?year=1936&con=y&model=Oldsmobile&rows=50 image [year] make model paint color name code sample Ditzler PPG Dupont comment G B Y 1936 Oldsmobile Oldsmobile Mansion Maroon 102 C IM1011 246-30979M G B Y 1936 Oldsmobile Oldsmobile Tuscany Brown 103 C IM708 246-31349 G B Y 1936 Oldsmobile Oldsmobile Buckingham Gray 104 C IM1398 246-30983 G B Y 1936 Oldsmobile Oldsmobile Buckingham Gray 104 C IM1683 late color replacement G B Y 1936 Oldsmobile Oldsmobile Gallant Blue 105 C IM1573 246-31351 G B Y 1936 Oldsmobile Oldsmobile Olympic Blue 106 C IM1574 246-31352 G B Y 1936 Oldsmobile Oldsmobile Glyndon Green 107 C IM1575 246-30158 G B Y 1936 Oldsmobile Oldsmobile Bundy Brown 108 C IM874 246-31353 G B Y 1936 Oldsmobile Oldsmobile Dawn Gray 109 C IM1680 202-31572 metallic G B Y 1936 Oldsmobile Oldsmobile Titian Red 110 C 246-31753 G B Y 1936 Oldsmobile Oldsmobile Black 101, 201 C Could this 37 Pontiac be Glyndon Green? Though it is not the same paint code# the color sure looks like the chart... Actually a pretty decent color even with the current interior that I have, and I get to keep the burgundy wheels!...;) The closest thing to glynden green might be from this 1936 brochure...
