NTX5467 Posted April 13, 2003 Share Posted April 13, 2003 As I recall, most of those were factory production items AND required a different gas strut to hold them open (due to their lighter weight). More toward the '78-'80 models as I recall as in later life, only the steel hoods were offered as production or replacement. Used to be an extra question to as the body shop customer about their car if they needed a hood or extra money they forgot to estimate if the replacement was a steel hood for the original aluminum one (i.e., the gas struts with less force).A pretty neat factory item to have if it's needed . . .Enjoy!NTX5467 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
