1949 Mercury outer door handle mounting hardware

I am working on reproducing the outer door handles for the 1949 Mercurys.  

I need to see  what the small parts are that hold the handle base  to the door.

I am including a picture of the base.   The threads are 10-24.  I need to know if it used screws or studs and nuts.
