My new ‘1961 Dodge Humpback shorty school bus. I cannot find ANYTHING similar to it to learn more online May have been military?

Military? Perhaps.   Your friend are any identification plates and numbers that are on the vehicle. 

 

Dodge built only the chassis and somebody else built the body. (Superior? Bluebird? Thomas? etc)

School buses are typically built to tightly regulated federal standards and in the end whoever built the body, they are almost 100% identical.
