Guest
Greetings all! Just wanted to say hello as I'm a new member to the Olds Club of America. I just recently bought a 1978 Olds Delta 88 Royale, with 79k original miles & a 4 BBL 350 V8, as my daily driver for my other car in storage, a 2002 Chevy Camaro SS. Some of you may know me from my Camaro/F-Body boards in case you're on there, too. To be quite honest, I'm a Chevy guy at heart, but I still respect all other GM cars. I really do love driving this 88, though!!!!Anyway, I've always wanted a 70's-80's street rod, so considering the good shape my Olds is in, I think I'll be working to restore it this new year. She has some surface rust on the undercarriage and bottom portion of the body, but nothing that I think can't get fixed. I'm planning to rebuild the engine, too, as she's blowing oil past the # 5 cylinder. Here's a pic...http://members.aol.com/joecool72/78olds.jpgSo I'm hoping my joining of these Olds clubs can help me out with this car and enjoy the overall hobby of classic cars! Hope I can be of help to everyone else, too.JOE
rocketraider
Welcome aboard. I know of a couple guys who have made bitchin street machines out of late 70s 88s. One of them will possibly be at the 2003 Nationals in Cincinnati this July. We'll help as we can here.
