Guest
I would like to tighten up the steering on my '66 Toronado. Are there later model boxes that will replace the original and tighten it up?
rocketraider
You can upgrade to a later Toronado/Eldorado variable ratio steering box, but you'll have to change all the steering linkage too as 66 uses a one-year-only pitman and idler arm. You can send your existing box to somewhere like Power Steering Services in St. Louis and they can rebuild and upgrade it to a quick ratio.
