29 chrysler brake shoe adjusting

I just redid the brakes on my '28 Plymouth. The shoes are the same and do not pivot on the front half. They are a real pain to adjust. The artillery wheels don't make it any easier.

yes, all four of mine were that way. You still have to move the lead shoe out to get good brakes. The whole shoe should move, just not in a pivoting motion. Good brakes on these cars is a relative term, don't expect to stop very quickly.
