Booreatta Posted October 5, 2002 Share Posted October 5, 2002 i have a 16 way seat and the thigh part of the seat quitit is stuck in the out position and it wont move either wayhas anyone else had this problem and how did you fix it. i dont know anything about seats but i guess that it is just motors and wires,but do you have to remove the seat and how hard is it. any known tricks.thanks for any info Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Posted October 5, 2002 Share Posted October 5, 2002 The seat is easy to remove, only four bolts (2 in front and 2 at rear, just move the seat all the way to the forward position to get to the rear bolts and then to the rear position to see get to the front bolts, then tilt the seat so you can undo the wiring. (2 wire hook ups.) If you raise the seat all the way up,You might be able to undo the cable shafts from the motors without removing the seat,and then with the cable inserted in the side that is stuck you can turn it by hand to move it to the proper position. On two occasions over the past 6 years I've had the thigh support working only in the "Out" direction.With care these switches can be disassembled, cleaned and reassembled.
