37Airflow
It's time to let this car go. I don't have enough time to enjoy the car properly. This car has been local since at least 1960s when it was stored in one of the airplane hangers at San Jose Airport before it became an international airport. After that it was stored in a small garage in the Rose Garden area of San Jose. That is where I found the car about 10-11 years ago. Since I purchased the vehicle, I have had all mechanical work done by a well known mechanic in the Airflow community. The wiring has been replaced with OE reproduction, rebuilt inline 8 cylinder flathead engine, rebuilt 3 speed manual transmission/overdrive units, braking system overhauled, fuel system overhauled, Optima 6v battery and electric fuel pump installed. This car runs, drives and handles well. It can easily do 65 mph when the overdrive is activated. The hood, grille and headlights on his car are from a 1935 model. It's unknown to me why the parts were switched as I do not see any evidence of a collision. The original 1937 model hood, grille and headlights were with the vehicle when I purchased it. This vehicle is a true survivor "barn" find. It's a true original and stock vehicle. It's so original that it was used as a guide to judge other 1937 Chrysler Airflow models during an annual Airflow meet that occurred several years ago in San Jose. I've done my best to continue with the survivor preservation. I've added a roof rack and period correct items/accessories to personalize the vehicle. These items are negotiable and are not necessarily included with the vehicle. This is your chance to own a rare, desirable and one of a kind vehicle. Local and long-distance delivery available at a negotiated rate. Will assist with nationwide and worldwide shipping. Clear title with currrent registration. Serious inquiries only please. $25,000 obo Edited August 19, 2018 by 37Airflow (see edit history)
Eric Duncan
Would you be interested in selling the 1937 parts you have separately? Specifically the headlights
