1937hd45
Just draged home the remains of a 1940-48 Ford rear axle and chassis (juice brakes). My guess is that it was a pickup or station wagon. There is an angle iron piece that runs along the top of the chassis with a wood crossmember above the gas tank. The inner driveshaft has a internal splined coupler in front of the pinion gear. When did Ford go to this setup, I know a Model A inner driveshaft is one piece, U joint to pinion. It has bumper brackets, were they the same for all body types? Thanks!
