Guest
I have a 66 Electra and the clock doesn't keep accurate time. I have ordered a NOS clock and was wondering if it is difficult to replace and can I fix the original clock? Any ideas will help.
palbuick
Not too hard to remove.Best suggestion would be to have the quarts movement installed, I put a new clock in my 66 Wildcat and two years later it quit running. Several companies advertise in Hemmings for this installation.JIm Schilf / palbuick@aol.com
YellowLark
What I've been reading about for the past ten years or so is the replacement of the Borg self-winding gears with quartz kits. Have seen several articles on these and it looks fairly easy with the result of having the original clock on the outside, but keeping perfect time.
