mytc05 Posted October 13, 2017 Posted October 13, 2017 My black soft top has gotten a couple spots over the years where the canvas has gotten a little stiff and wrinkly. Overall, it's still in really good shape. So, I want to preserve it as best I can. So, I wanted to see what you all recommend to soften/save those couple spots? They're on the back side near the rear window. I'm not sure if it's spots where dry-rot has started or what, but I'm wondering if there's something I can do to soften those spots back up and keep them in good condition, kind of like the Leatherique products can do for our leather when it gets hard? Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated!
mytc05 Posted October 18, 2017 Author Posted October 18, 2017 I've attached a picture of what it looks like where the stiff spots are. The lighting is off in the picture. So, the top looks faded, which it isn't. This way the stiff spots are more easily visible though. Anyone have any ideas on how to soften these areas back up and protect the canvas?
