I think a few cars got out special ordered in Rallye Red (also known as Matador Red or later as Omega Red) code 75 which was a red-orange.<P>The difference is Flame Orange has a very fine metallic in it. Rallye Red is a solid color.<P>Flame Orange was one of the five special order colors in 72. Others were: Viking Blue (26), Radiant Green (36), Saturn Gold (53), and Sunfire Yellow (56).
