Guest
Hopefully some of you can help me decide what to do with my cars engine. Currently my 79 Hurst Olds is all stock (except true duals) with 78,000 miles. I would like build it up and have it go as fast as possible, but still be able to go down the highway at 65 or 70 and not just for a mile or two.
Should I build up the stock engine? Find a solid main 350 to build? or 403? 455?
Lets also try to keep the wallet in mind
rocketraider
Depends if you want the car to hold its value. If it were a Cutlass, I'd say do what you want with it. A Hurst/Olds is always more valuable in original state.
That said- if you wanna go fast reliably, I'd find a 68-76 350 or 455 and go from there. Keep yer original 350 and store it properly so you can put it back in the car when you want to go back original.
