1968 riviera trunk light

The 'switch' is actually part of the lamp assembly Felix.

It's a gravity type 'mercury' switch that makes contact to turn the light on when the trunk lid is raised, and breaks the contact when the trunk lid is lowered.

You may need a slight adjustment on the mounting angle of the light assembly, or a replacement unit.

Thanks mate,it appears someone has changed the light assembly to a normal type thats why the bulb was removed as the light stays on all the time.

I will have to fit a switch in the circuit as I do not think you can buy the original lamp holder with integral mercury switch.
