straight8pontiac
I would like to remove the wiper transmission from the drivers side on my '37 Pontiac for rebuilding purposes. Looking up under the dash I find that the chain which drives the wiper is off. I can also remove the drive arm which goes to the the wiper motor from the transmission. My question- at this point how do I remove the transmission from the cowl? This unit really appears to be stuck (fastened) in place. Thanks for any help to get me started- Dave
PETEPONTIAC-1
The rubber gasket is preventing you to pull it out. You have to use some muscle on it. Just be careful. PP-
straight8pontiac
Pete, Yes indeed- it was a little tough but kept working it all the way around. Had success and now the project is complete. Dave
