ChrisWhewell
I put a new orifice tube in my '90 last nite. I notice the plastic frame of the orifice tube is tapered a little. I'm wondering.... is it physically possible to install the orifice tube backwards ? I could only get it to go in one way, and that's the way I installed it. I ask, because now I am getting a code b112. I gathered the bcm data and BD28 reads "-39" . I've read internet legends where installing an orifice tube backwards can damage the low temp sensor in the AC, but some also have stated it doesn't matter. And, for me, it would only go in one way. arrrgh, I'm befuddled again
harry yarnell
The square tab at the end of the orifice should be pointing out. It's there so you can get a pair of needle nose pliers on it to pull it out.
