WPC Members and friends,

Just a quick reminder, April 23rd we will be touring the Museum of American Speed in Lincoln, otherwise known as Speedway to many. 599 Oakcreek Dr, Lincoln, NE 68528. The tour will be from 9:30 to Noon. Please be there before 9:30 so they can let our private tour group in.  Wear good walking shoes.

This is located about 1/2 mile west of Downtown Lincoln and a few blocks north of O Street.  From Downtown go west on O Street over the Viaduct.  Turn right on Sun Valley Blvd.  Then turn left onto Westgate Blvd. and left again onto Oakcreek Dr..  The Museum should be on your left and the entrance toward the west corner which is where parking is available.

Founded in 1992 by "Speedy" Bill and Joyce Smith, the Speedway Motors Museum of American Speed is dedicated to preserving, interpreting and displaying physical items significant in racing and automotive history. The federally recognized 501 (c) (3) museum currently encompasses more than 135,000 sq. ft. over three levels. The vast collection results from the Smiths’ personal involvement in racing and hot rodding for more than six decades, and their lifelong passion for collecting and preserving historic automotive artifacts.

Admission is normally $15 for adults, and $10 for seniors (65 and older) and youth ages 6-18. Active duty military personnel in uniform or with I.D., and children under 5, enjoy free admission.
