Dick,

I learned this paper trick from Leif in Sweden.  I am trying to help 2 other members find top sockets for their 1925 Buick Standard Touring (25-25).   See if you can get someone with a 1922, 23 or 24 model 54 that has a top, that is willing to make a drawing like the one attached on some 36" wide Kraft paper.  (Please verify the years range that your top matches with, this is my guess).  You may not be able to find a complete top with the wood in it, but sometimes people have top sockets of unknown origin and can match this up.  If you go to a swap meet, and see a Buick part, you have to ask the seller if he has any more parts, as sometimes the rest of the car is still back in the barn..   Do the same with the spare tire bracket.  You really need to get a picture and dimensions if possible.  The parts book may have a picture, and then using the part number you should be able to go up and down a few years to see what year range you are looking for.     Hugh
