1932 Engine color

Hey Folks,

 

I'm in month four of a total rebuild of my 1932 "big eight" engine.  I'm in a holding pattern at present waiting for the block, crank and rods in Illinois and  the pistons being cast in California.

 

In this off time I've been gathering parts (replacement), painting parts, cleaning parts and doing a little research.

 

After re-assembly I plan to paint the engine, bell housing and transmission as one piece.  While I'm partial to greens, I suspect that black may be my only option.  What is the proper color for this engine?
