Guest Posted February 26, 2002 Share Posted February 26, 2002 Am restoring a 39 Champion and have a 40 Champion for parts. Question: Will the front fenders from the 40 interchange on the 39? I know I could swap the whole front clip, but prefer to keep the 39 original as can be. It's just that the 40 fenders are in great shape where the 39's are, well, a mild swiss cheese, if you catch my drift. Don't have either taken off yet, but look pretty close at first glance. studeq Posted March 6, 2002 Share Posted March 6, 2002 The fenders are identical except for the mounting holes for the grilles. You can use the '40 fenders and simply drill the holes as they are in your '39's or if you can wish you can use 1940 grilles (if you can find them). Good luck.
