A friend just bought a pair of old auto trunks....made by Padgitt Brothers of Dallas.<BR>What cars were they OEM on, or were they just an aftermarket item?

Very, Very, few cars of the Classic era had factory furnished trunks. An example is the Studebaker Presidents of 1929-30, the only model that came with a factory trunk was the Brougham, all the others either had no provision for a trunk at all, or came with a trunk rack, but no trunk, and the owner had to supply the trunk from any number of after market vendors. You would be hard pressed to identify a specific trunk maker (and there were MANY of them) with a specific make or model car. The best you can do is find someone who has a luggage rack with the same dimensions as your trunk and is looking for trunk to fit their rack. If you still have the original fitted luggage that came with your trunks you will have increased your odds of selling them greatly.
