flh73 Posted September 3, 2015 Share Posted September 3, 2015 I always thought the vin tag on the cowl was held down by clover leaf looking stainless steel rivets.Mine I can't tell how it's held down. There is some rust in the holes but that's it. Have the rivets rusted away? Assuming they didn't use stainless?I'm concerned about loosing tag and don't want to pull on it until know. petelempert Posted September 4, 2015 Share Posted September 4, 2015 I used 3M black weatherstripping adhesive to stick mine down. It came loose after media blasting my engine compartment.
