novaman Posted August 19, 2001 Share Posted August 19, 2001 the third and fourth digit of the serial number identifies the body serial code. for a 1973 mustang convertible it would be 03.<P>Now on the vehile certification labal the body cose is two numbers and a letter. for the '74 mustang convertible it would be 76D.<P>Hope that is what you are looking for.
