On page 74 of the 2000 Judging Manual line #10 under General Information it states that aluminum paint and stainless steel are excepted. Then a little farther down on line #1 under Exteriors it states Metallic Paint wasn't used until 1927. <P>If I own a '23 Auto can I paint the rims with a fine metallic silver paint?? Is BaseCoat Clear allowed?? The orginal sales ads from the dealer show a silver look to them, I see many cars in the early twenties with silver rims. A flat silver look has been accepted due to environmental restrictions which has made cad plating very difficult to obtain.
