virginian
what's the procedure for getting vehicles moved from an incorrect class to the correct class?
ronbarn
This question requires two responses:
If the incorrect classification is determined DURING the conduct of a meet, the Chief Judge and/or the VP Class Judging (or designated representative for that meet) will change the class for that vehicle. Depending on the field layout the vehicle will be physically moved to the proper class or will be left in position and the team judging the proper class will proceed to that location for the judging of that vehicle.
If AFTER a meet where a vehicle has won a National First Prize (First Junior) or higher, it is determined that it was placed in the wrong class, or if there is a change in the definition of class eligibility and a vehicle must now be moved to another class, the VP Senior Car Awards in coordination with the VP Class Judging will take appropriate action to correct the records to move the vehicle to the proper class. Any awards won by that vehicle will remain intact, i.e. only the class will change.
If a member, as a participant, believes that there is a vehicle in the wrong class, the Chief Judge should be notified as soon as possible. ronbarn
You are probably referring to the Simplexes in Class 5d. I don't know why you are reluctant to say this outright. The VP Senior Car Awards and the VP Class Judging are aware of this and the process for changing the bikes is in progress.

ronbarn
Virginian, we made a mistake, not once but at least twice, the error was identified, our procedures can take care of it, noone will get in trouble, and if the world sees that we are able to respond positively, then once again the DF works and AACA is a better organization for it. Thanx!
