I can't tell you how many GM owners think that their under hood light does not work since when they open the hood the light does not come on. I have stunned and shocked several people at car shows who thought their light did not work and I politely asked them to turn on their parking lights and viola, the under hood light comes to life. I was talking to a guy at a show that had a low mile 1984 Hurst/Olds. I asked him if everything worked on the car and he told me everything but the under hood light.
