motoringicons
SOLDThis rare 1932 Ford Model B Sport Coupe is from the estate of noted Ford collector, historian and author George DeAngelis. George purchased the car many years ago from his close friend and co-author Edward Francis. George and Edward were the authors of famous reference books " The Model A Ford: As Henry Built It" and "The Early Ford V-8: As Henry Built it." This car has never been restored and i do not believe the body or fenders have ever been removed from the chassis. The body is about as straight and pure as you will ever find. No rust issues, no repairs, excellent floors, sills, rockers, door bottoms, cowl bottoms, floor pans, rain gutter, etc. The fenders are as clean on the bottom as they are on the top. The grill and hood are immaculate. The dashboard, garnish moldings, windshield frame almost look NOS. The frame is good and greasy with lots of original paint on it. The car was painted once a long, long time ago. About 15 years ago, George installed a new Le Baron Bonney interior on the inside. The rumble seat has some 1950s era vinyl covers on it. The top might be original or may have been replaced when the car was painted. The car has not been driven in about 10 years and has just been removed from storage. The engine turns over easily and I don't see any reason that this car can't be cleaned up, serviced, and used as-is. Prior to getting ill, George used this car on a regular basis. It was shown at the Ford Centennial, 75th Anniversary Deuce Event in Dearborn, Eyes on Design Concours, etc. It is an early production 1932 with a VIN of AB5025592. This is a great opportunity for a serious and knowledgable early Ford collector to own one of the rarest 1932 Fords in existence. Ford only built about 740 Model B sport coupes and I would venture to say this is probably one of the best, if not the best, original example in existence. A great car with a great provenance. Super reasonably priced at 49,000.00. Located in Detroit, Michigan. Clear and current title. Please call 734-730-4274 or email directly at: motoringicons@hotmail.com Thank you very much.
