Late 50's Corvette Carb question

Recommended Posts

A friend of mine is building a nostalgic 32 3 window Ford - Hot Rod. He is going to use a 327 Chevy and wants to use the 2 4 barrel carb setup that was on the late 50's vettes.
He's looking for info on the correct carbs that would belong -
Would they be Carters - WCFBS? If not what would be correct - what model would they be.
Also - where would be the best place to get the proper linkage and the carbs.
Thks
Rich

Rich,
They would had been Carter WCFB's used on the Dual 4 bbl. 283 engines. At least this is what was on the last Dual 4 '57 Chevy I worked on. I don't believe they used the Rochester 4GC. I'm not 100 % sure.
Here's the fellow to contact for any carb set up, parts and answers your friend needs. Contact Larry Isgro in Wantagh, NY. The number I have for him is 516-897-0401. He is usually set up at the Hershey Fall Meet in the White field.
Rick
