Graham Man
Have you pulled the water distribution plate? They have a tendency to build up (looks like sand) around the cylinders. I had to pressure wash mine out to get all the sand out, but a hose and some wire works well. Depending on where your temperature sensor is located it may or may not show hot. Back to the water distribution plate, they have a tendency to rust out, you should check it against an original plate, if the water is not flowing correctly you will have overheating problems. Guest Roj
No thermostat in them it does have like a baffle at the top which turn so the radiator has flow throughout, but it seems fine. The motor has been completely rebuilt and ran fine for a year, but I'll check the distribution plate.
