Guest
I have a 1936 25/30hp. Rolls-Royce which is fitted with an unusual vacuum operated swinging wig-wag type dual stop and tail light. I believe that this was made by the Illinois Iron & Bolt Company for Safety Signal Devices inc. of Chicago. I live in the UK and have never seen another lamp of this type, my Father once saw one at a concours at Pebble Beach in about 1960. Is this type of lamp common in the US? I would welcome any information you may have. Thank you.
------------------
ronbarn
George, This is NOT a common type of tail light on US cars. The only one I have seen was on a Studebaker and it was a manufacturer's option.
