Guest RogerGB
My recently acquired '49 Roadmaster needs the torque ball rubber seal replacing. I have the part and work is underway to fit the seal. The rear of the gearbox is exposed and drive shaft extracted. There is a nut inside the gearbox output shaft that is proving impossible to loosen. It is very difficult to see it as it's several inches inside the spline shaft. It appears to be hexagonal and domed after viewing it with an optic fiber camera. Does anyone know if Buick required a specialist tool to loosen and remove this nut ? Us Brits are baffled !!!
