Glenn Manes
All, Can anyone tell me if there is a support for the center of the speedometer cable as it crosses under the frame member from the front wheel. There is a slotted bracket on the same screw as that holds the spring and clip for the engine pan near where it crosses. I assume that is for the speedometer cable support what ever it looks like. Thanks, Glenn ManesWheat Ridge CO
Terry Wiegand
Glenn, you are correct in thinking that there is a support bracket for the speedometer cable housing at that point. My '16 has the same set-up. Several years ago I bought a 1918 E-45 rolling chassis from a salvage yard up near Kansas City. It had the cable housing bracket still on the remains of what was left of the cable tube. It was identical to my '16. I will try and get a photo posted for you of the bracket.I didn't have that 1918 very long. It went to a new home up in New Hampshire.Terry WiegandSouth Hutchinson, Kansas America
Terry Wiegand
Glenn, here are a couple of photos of the speedometer cable support bracket. This could be made very easily.Terry WiegandSouth Hutchinson, Kansas America
