Guest Mr.Fields
Hello all,I hope this is the appropriate area of the forums to post. I recently acquired this 1940s (I believe 1944??) Ford pickup truck from a neighbor of mine. Her late husband was the original owner and unfortunately she doesn't know much about it- neither do I. I was hoping to get some help from this knowledgeable community- model, motor (very interested), rarity, and approximate value. I was told it was running when parked many many years ago. Since then the radiator was stolen. At this point I don't plan on restoring it- not even sure if it would be worth doing so. The truck is pretty banged up- also know that it was used for a demolition company and was capable of towing mobile homes. I also have the hood if that helps. 19tom40
It could be a 42,45, 46 or 47 truck with a later engine. These trucks were all very similar in appearance. The serial number would give a better idea of the chassis year of manufacture. The engine looks like a late 50's Y block.
