kszew
The heating duct on my 49 Windsor had been repaired with metal and fiberglass by the previous owner. I bought a new one off E-Bay, it's about 4-5 inches shorter and there is no way to attach it to the firewall, doesn't have flange, am I missing something? says it replaces PN 1240973. Rusty_OToole
I haven't measured but it appears to me they used the same duct for Plymouth, Dodge, DeSoto/Chrysler Windsor and New Yorker. In ascending order of length. They made a whole series of ducts in different lengths. By molding them in the same mold and cutting to length. You may have a Dodge duct. Or, maybe there is a difference between the 49 and 51.Can you return it to the seller and get a longer duct?I have made the whole duct out of black cardboard sold by upholstery supply places for backing sofas and making door panels for cars. By carefully cutting and folding. You may be able to extend yours using the same material. And reuse your old flange, or make one out of sheet metal.
