1964 Riviera a/c vacuum diagram

I'm getting set to do some a/c work on my '64 (the controls have been removed from the console) and I remembered reading in Chip Little's website that he said the diagram in the shop manual is reversed. Here's his tips and at the bottom is what he says about the vacuum hoses.

Can anyone on the forum tell me whether the chassis manual is correct or if Chip's note is correct?

I also read the same note Ed. Sorry but I dont know the answer. Anyone out there know? If so there are a lot of shop manuals with an error in them.
