Does anyone know about this TC?

Before I decide to go look at this one I was wondering if anyone knows about it already. Smog history for California only shows a check in 2012 that was aborted and then passed a few days later, that makes me think it is not a CA car or has been sitting out of the DMV system for more than 10 years. Sitting means lots of money needs to be thrown at it, out of state brings up lots of questions.

1989 8 valve/automatic in Cabernet with Bordeaux interior and a VIN of ZC2FP1101KB204463

This one doesn't show up in my database so it hasn't been for sale in the last couple of years, that I know about. Owner's email to me makes it sound like they haven't had the car for very long and probably can't answer detailed questions about its history.

Asking because it's better to be safe than sorry and I like to check things out as thoroughly as possible before taking action.
