Bob Stein
Yeah, sounds like a real winner, right? But it is actually a decent car! A 1977 Porsche 924 Martini and Rossi Championship limited edition (1,000 made), indoor storage since 2002 except for the past 8 months. The paint looks really good under the dirt and algae, and the interior is very nice. Tires are 6 years old with no miles, and the car has not been run since 2010. Brakes are now out, but parts are cheap. There is a chance I can get it going for the price of a battery, flushing out the fuel system, and rebuilding the rear brake cylinders! I test drove one of these new when I was under 25 and could afford the car, but not the insurance.
dan at larescorp
Nice find. That was the same kind of car I learned how to drive a standard transmission in. It was a blast. Keep us posted on your progress.
