1934 Ford Roadster. This car has been owned by the current family for about 50 years. It was purchased back when good, original open early Ford V8s were available and was restored long before reproduction parts were available. This car was probably restored 40 or so years ago. It was such a good car to start with that the restoration still looks like new-inside, outside, top and bottom. When you start with a great car, you get a great restoration that lasts for years to come. It goes without saying that this is a US-built roadster and this car is all original Henry Ford steel. No reproduction anything on the body.The fit and finnish is superb-not because it was restored that way but because it has always been that way. The black paint is excellent. The leather upholstery shows only a minimal amount of wear which makes it even more attractive. The dash is properly restored and has mellowed nicely and all of the gauges are crisp and clear. The top assembly is original and fits properly. The grill is, of course, original and straight and all of the trim items are original and like new. This car is equipped with many rare accessories including the rear mounted luggage rack, correct radio and the very rare early Columbia two-speed rear end. The chassis and engine bay are clean and when you really crawl underneath it, you can see that rust never found its way anywhere on this car. This car is ready to use and enjoy as it is. It runs and drives with the spirited energy that only a good Ford V8 has. Unlike most early Ford V8 roadsters, this car is not pieced together, not restored from a worn out and chopped up hot rod and not restored using every available reproduction parts from the suppliers catalogs.
