29 erskine head bolt torque?

There are no torque specs for cars of that age. Torque wrenches didn't appear until the middle 1930s. These are low compression, slow turning engines. I would think that 35 to 40 pounds would be adequate, but it might be advisable to find a bolt size/tensile strength chart and see what the maximum torque is for the size and grade of the head bolts, keeping in mind that they are old bolts.
