Hello, I am trying to find out some info on a Fargo truck I may aquire to restore. Would anyone be able to decode the serial and model numbers?

serial number is 93750856

model number FN5-52

other info on data plate:

GVW 16000 lbs

98 HP @ 3200 rpm

Built in Windsor Ont by Chrysler corp

It has a flathead six cyl engine. Would this be a 6 volt generator or 12 volt alternator system

a tag on the fire wall drivers side reads - 4922-3219

Thanks for any info

Mike

You have good information on the truck and are quite fortunate.

Could you post some pictures? I have a reference with listing for the Canada chassis numbers and will check when in return from my vacation.

I know Dodge Bros had a truck plant in Canada.

Thanks Stakeside, I tried already to post photos but the file is too large. I will need to resize the files and try to post.

Hi Stakeside, thanks for the link, very interesting read. I have managed to attach some photos. It looks like it is sitting on the ground, which when I first saw it I almost wept. It is actually sitting on a few layers of asphalt shingles and is very solid on the frame. Another great thing... the key is in the ignition.:) Mike
