Guest groinky
I have a 1918 Franklin Series 9 Touring car that I am just starting to restore. There are remnants of what looks like sisal carpet on the floor. Is this the correct material and can anyone give me the name of a supplier. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks Jim
Steve Braverman
I know that the Series 10 open cars came with what Franklin called "horsehair carpet." Everyone I ask says there is no such thing as horsehair carpet. My dad's demi-sedan (which is the same as the touring from the belt-line down) has the original carpet, and it's like nothing I've ever seen anywhere else. Povertycove
Years ago I restored an Airflow, and I was able to get what you call sisal carpet from Bill Hirsch.
