SOLD SOLD SOLD 1930 Cadillac V8 Five Passenger Sedan. This car was sold new by Don Lee Cadillac in Los Angeles. The original owner, a Los Angeles resident sold the car to the second owner in New York State and it was purchased by the current owner in about 1980. When the car was purchased, it was a solid, straight, intact and very authentic car. The car was given to Brian Joseph of Classic and Exotic Services in Troy, Michigan where a comprehensive frame off restoration was given to the car. The restoration was completed in about 2000 and the car has been judged 100 points in Classic Car Club of America Junior, Senior and Premiere levels.

Today, the car shows little signs of use since the restoration was completed. It has always been stored in a climate controlled garage, always maintained, and carefully used on a regular basis. It is extremely well equipped with virtually all of the rare and period accessories including the correct Cadillac Sportlight, Tropic-Aire Cadillac heater (currently not hooked up), dual side mounts with Cadillac script mirrors, Goddess mascot, stone guard, the correct Cadillac "highboy" truck with a complete set of fitted luggage, Trippe driving lights, etc.

The paint is in like new condition with only a little wear seen on one of the splash aprons. The body fit is excellent-all four doors open and close easily and have even gaps and margins, the hood aligns properly and all four fenders are in alignment with each other and the body. The interior is a dark red broadcloth (it looks lighter in the photos) and was expertly installed and today remains like new. The door panels, seats, carpets, headliner, etc show no signs of wear. The interior has a complete and correct Cadillac vanity set, pull down shades, bud vases, the correct front visors, interior lights, etc. The wood trim was expertly restored and remains like new. The dashboard, steering wheel, pedals etc are also excellent. All of the gauges with the exception of the clock work as do the interior lights, etc. The glass also appears near new.

Mechanically, the car was completely rebuilt at the time of restoration. The car has been regularly serviced by Classic and Exotic, including a recent carburetor rebuild just last month. The car starts easily, idles smooth, accelerates well, does not overheat, etc. The clutch is smooth and the tranmission shifts easily. The brakes stop the car square and the steering is tight and responsive. All of the lights, horn, wipers, etc work as they should.

The engine bay is extremely clean and well detailed as original with correct hose clamps, wiring, hardware, etc. The chassis is also very clean and properly restored.

The car is being sold with an extra rebuilt carburetor, distributor, starter, correct wheel wrench and other small parts and some literature.

The price is and the car is located near Detroit, MI. It has a clear and current title.
