I'm wondering if it's something wrong inside the engine or just two metal parts too close that are hitting eachother when the engine vibrates. Any help would be MUCH appreciated!!! Larry Schramm Posted May 26, 2013 Share Posted May 26, 2013 I concur that it sounds like lifter noise. To narrow it down some, take the serpentine belt off with nothing else running and see if the noise is still there. This removes all of the accessories and only the base engine.
