Guest shadetree77
I ran across this on EBAY. Owner has it listed as being from a '51 or '52 which is clearly not correct. I would like to be able to tell him what it is from so I did some picture searching on Google. Problem is, I can't find a mustache that has this type of block lettering on it. Anyone know what this is? Aftermarket replacement piece perhaps?
1953mack
......Anyone know what this is? Aftermarket replacement piece perhaps? It's not an aftermarket item. Looks like a rare piece of 1953 Buick wall art......usually made so by UPS, FedEx, or another shipping company.....the passenger side half of a one-piece mustache.....from either a Series 40 (narrower) or Series 50-70 (wider) mustache. I have one just like it. Al MalachowskiBCA #8965"500 Miles West of Flint" Edited May 18, 2013 by 1953mack (see edit history)
Guest shadetree77
Thanks once again Al. I don't know why, but that style of lettering made me think 40's so I didn't look past '49. That, and the seller didn't describe it as being broken and I knew some of the earlier mustache bars were more than one piece. Mystery solved. I'll give the seller the bad news.
