Guest Posted September 3, 2000 Share Posted September 3, 2000 while in high school in the 40s , a friend owned a beacon coupe . well , i never heard of or seen one since . this beacon was a 35 or 36 model coupe & resembled other cars of that era ( middle 30s ). anyone ever hear of one & can tell about it??? novaman Posted September 4, 2000 Share Posted September 4, 2000 Kenny, the Beacon you're asking about was built by the Continental Motors. It was biult for two years I cn't remember either '34 &'35 or '35 &'36. If I remember correctly, they were sold through Western Auto stores. I have a friend that is restoring one in NC. There is a picture of the Beacon one of Alamance Chapter's members is restoring. It was brought to the show because of it being unsual and to show an example of a restoration in progress.
