Guest Steeleco
Does anybody have any tips or tricks for removing and replacing the PCV valve grommet that goes in the valve cover on the 63 riviera? I obviously don't want the old one to crack and fall in to the engine.
Jim Cannon
No. They tend to become rock hard. You cut them out when the valve cover is off the car.Why are you removing it? If you feel the PCV valve is a little loose in the grommet, wrap a turn or two (or three, whatever you need) of black electrical tape around the valve before inserting it into the grommet. That should tighten it up.
Guest Steeleco
Thanks, I was afraid that was the right way to do it.
