1965rivgs Posted July 1, 2012 Share Posted July 1, 2012 In a pinch you can install a heavy gauge spring which is a force fit on the end of the rod. When you force the spring over the ball on the linkage the spring will spread and then return to its original shape thus holding the rod on the ball.
