Guest speedjunkie
I found a '55 Century Sedan locally. I'm pondering to buy it for spares and the motor for my '55 Special. The body is actually in good shape, no broken glass, 2 grills, 2 front bumpers, 1 rear, 2 sets of seats, extra radiator, PS, A/C (maybe). All the trim is supposed to be there, hard to tell as the trunk is full. Only missing to my knowledge is the trans, and that should be able to be gotten. I want the motor, PS, and AC if possible. However, the car is in good enough shape, I'm having a hard time bringing myself to make it a parts car, when it looks to be a relatively easy resto. So my question is, what would you do? Buy it for the parts you want/need, and sell the rest as parts? Or try to find someone to restore it to it's former beauty? He's got it listed for 2k, but said that's negotiable. Please help me to decide! Mike

60FlatTop
I would thoroughly clean the and sort the parts. Then sell it to someone with rose colored glasses. Make a little profit and use the money to buy stuff you need for your current car.Be sure to sell it for enough money so the next owner won't have to worry about it being a parts car or not.Bernie
Guest speedjunkie
Thanks guys! So, if I were to buy it, and thoroughly clean and sort, what would be the right asking price? The body is still assembled, minus the bumpers and trans as far as I know. Just the trim and dash have been removed. Thanks again!Mike
